Watch a short video message from Carolyn HERE
How are you holding up? We’re living through one of the most challenging situations in our lifetime. The level of uncertainty and far reaching impact of the Covid pandemic is unprecedented. On the bright side, it has given us time to reflect on what matters most, who really makes a positive difference to our lives, and what we can do to help each other get through this. Being a small business in retail, the impact of the Covid pandemic has been especially hard. I am sure fellow business owners feel it too.
I have been truly moved by the kind messages on social media as well as your personal messages of support for Carrie K. I have seen how communities are coming together to support each other and fellow independent Singapore brands. Carrie K. is passionate about powering positivity not just through meaningful stories that inspire our designs, but through our actions.
You’ve inspired us to keep powering positivity through our stories. And we promise to keep working to create designs that will put a smile on your face. In addition, we will be starting an initiative to spotlight fellow independent designers and small business owners through our social media channels, to help lift each other up through these tough times. We continue to donate a percentage of sale of our pearl necklaces to support single mum’s through Aware’s programme. We hope by powering positivity within the community, we will help get each other to brighter times.
A few people have asked what they can do to support us. So whilst our Carrie K. Atelier is closed until 5th May, you can:
1.Shop from the comfort of your home at www.CarrieKRocks.com And we’ll deliver for free.
2.Invite fellow jewellery junkies to join our Carrie K. community. Copy and paste this link to invite your friends: https://www.carriekrocks.com/pages/refer-a-friend. When your friend shops with us, both of you will enjoy a 10% off your next Carrie K. shopping spree.
Here are a few people who put smiles on our faces. Thank you! It really made our day. Credits to Cindi, Kartini Lim & Paige Parker:.
Stay strong. Stay positive.
1. Measure your fingers at the end of day as your finger size will be different at different times of the day.
Fingers tend swell up during the course of the day as your blood pressure rises.
2. Measure your finger size 3 to 4 times to get a more accurate measure.
3. Your fingers might also swell if you are pregnant or if you are on medication. Take this into account when measuring your fingers.
Here are some tips on how you can measure your finger:
First, cut a cardboard strip measuring 0.5cm wide and 15cm long.
Then, wrap the cardboard around the finger to be sized.
Once it’s done, slide the cardboard up to the knuckle, as the ring must be sized large enough to able to slip off and on, over the knuckle.
Next, use a pen to mark on the cardboard where the long end overlaps.
Measure the mark from the end of the length of paper or string with a ruler.
Locate your ring size by locating your measurement against our size chart.
Should the measurement falls in between two sizes, we recommend that you choose the larger size.
