Since the last time we shared with you some interesting facts about pearls, we have followed up with the launch of our Pearls Galore. There have also been a few enquiries about Carrie K.’s pearl products and what makes them so unique.
Timeless as pearls may be, there hasn’t been proper style guides on how to wear or match them. Perhaps it’s because most pearl necklaces look the same, or that they’re unfairly perceived to be worn by grannies and authoritative matriarchs.
In thinking about how we could best explain Carrie K.’s pearls and defending that they are wearable by discerning women of all ages, we decided to show you as many possible ways of wearing two of Carrie K.'s pearl necklaces – and we’ve a video to boot!
1. The Classic

The most elementary but evergreen style, the Classic Pearl Necklace is wearable by every girl and woman and suitable for all occasions. As we've shared previously, pearls are now available in so many colours, albeit some artificially dyed. At Carrie K., our pearl necklaces come in natural cream, grey or black freshwater pearls, as well as in a variety of lengths.
2. The Clipped

Because we love the pearl necklace so much, we now have a jewellery accessory just for a jewellery accessory! 🤣 Carrie K.'s Star Pearl Clip, available in white, yellow or rose gold, reinvigorates the necklace without stealing away its thunder.
If you're a fan of this style, you'll be glad to know that Carrie K. is designing more pearl clips in our future collections. Keep an eye out for a new one launching in November!
3. The Double Choker
Here's a fast hack to achieve the Breakfast at Tiffany's look with your pearl necklace -- just sling it around the neck twice! If you're wearing a sleeveless dress and would like to take the scrutiny away from your exposed arms, then the double choker works wonders in focusing attention on your neck and outfit instead.
4. The Lasso

If the classic pearl necklace is too ubiquitous for you, then the quirky Pearls & Lock Necklace might be an alternative.
The combination of the pearl necklace with a silver chain, complete with a safety pin and spring lock clasp, goes beyond the aesthetic. It actually has a functional purpose of allowing even more unique ways of wearing the necklace. Our favourite has to be the lasso -- two hoops that join to form the infinity symbol. Try hard not to play with this style throughout the day!
5. The Knot
With a classic pearl necklace it's almost impossible to tie a knot without ending up with a clunky ball (and possible scratches to your pearls too!) It's no surprise that with the Pearls & Lock Necklace we're challenging you to do what we had conventionally advocated against. Talk about a twist to wearing the pearl necklace.
6. The Lever
Just so you know the ways of wearing Carrie K.'s pearl necklace is quite non-exhaustive, we hadn't thought about our next style until our model suggested during the shoot. The result is the chain suspending the pearls like, as its name suggests, a lever.
7. The Double Loop
For those who cannot resist the combination of the organic pearls with a metallic chain, yet quietly yearns for even more of the former, here's a style to achieve the illusion of having more pearls. The beauty of The Double Loop is that the loop lengths are adjustable, resulting in almost a different look each time you wear the necklace.
