Singapore, 24 July 2013 – A combination of two precious metals and different textures, the one-of-a-kind pair of wedding bands symbolises a marriage between two very different personalities. Like every piece by Carrie K. Bespoke, the wedding bands tell the story of a newlywed’s love and commitment.
Carrie K. Artisan Jewellery today announced Carrie K. Bespoke – customised services for wedding and engagement rings. Going beyond perfecting the aesthetics of jewellery, Carrie K. Bespoke brings customisation services to a whole new level.
Carolyn Kan, founder and designer of Carrie K. Artisan Jewellery, ensures that the wedding couple is an integral part of the design process. Kan first has in-depth conversations with the couple to understand the story of their relationship, then she translates the tale into rings to cherish for a lifetime.
"Wedding and engagement rings are the most significant piece of jewellery that one will own, so we create designs that are not only unique but are inspired by each couples' story and individual personalities." says Kan.The design process takes up to five weeks. Within three weeks of the first brief, Kan presents three concept designs. After that, one concept will either be selected or further refined. Each piece is then individually handcrafted.
A Look at Carrie K. Bespoke: Wedding Rings Crafted from Love Stories
To symbolise the marriage of two very different personalities, Kan merged contrasting metals of 14K Rose Gold and Sterling Silver bands to create one ring. The wedding band takes the shape of the infinity symbol representing everlasting love.
These wedding bands are a combination of circle and square. The design reflects the couples’ contrasting tastes and personalities coming together: The groom highlighted his need for structure in life along with an inclination towards geometric shapes and straight lines. The bride, a bubbly and creative personality, liked curved edges.
Designing an engagement ring for a groom-to-be who planned to propose to his fiancee, Kan faced a dilemma: designing a ring that held the significance and pricelessness of diamonds for a bride-to-be who did not like diamonds.
Describing his girlfriend as one with a “heart of gold” this 'Diamond' engagement ring takes the shape of a traditional diamond cut in the form of white gold with a diamond hidden within the ring. The ring reflects his bride’s belief that it’s what's inside that counts.
