HEIRLOOM REVIVAL

Reviving an Heirloom: More than Modernising Old Jewellery

If you've an heirloom jewellery stored in a secret place, you'd probably treasure the family stories behind. Instead of storing away an old piece of jade or diamond on most days because it looks dated or its size is mismatched, would you rather breathe new life and wear it close by you? Carrie K.'s Heirloom Revival service reimagines your family heirlooms and old jewellery as modern, stylish and symbolic pieces that evoke memories and sentiments that you shared with your loved ones.

Heirloom Revival Promotion until 31 May 2019

Make an appointment with Carrie K. for a free initial consultation of redesigning your old jewellery or heirlooms and $1000 off the project fee*

*Project fee of $2000 must be paid within 2 weeks off consultation.

Your Heirloom Revival Journey begins...

with a complimentary assessment by our GIA certified, in-house gemmologist, as we advise the feasibility of redesigning your old jewellery, paying extra attention to the incumbent gemstone.

More than that, we lend a listening ear to your story. Heartbreaking or hilarious, we invite you to be as emotionally frank with us as possible, because just like any individual, a jewellery may be old, but never redundant.

Dignity is key to our redesign,

knowing the sentiments and memories associated with your old jewellery piece. Our designers take a carefully consultative and communicative approach, presenting you with sketches and CAD models along the way.

Occasionally, our customers also add on new gemstones onto the jewellery as a symbol of adding their own narrative to their heirloom, or combining the old with the new.

A new lease of life awaits

your redesigned jewellery, as we return it to its rightful owner. Now that you wear your "new" bling with pride, the next generations have a modernised heirloom, and with it a new chapter of family story to inherit.

"In perpetuating the spirit of the previous generations, [reviving an heirloom] writes the story of the next generations"

A new lease of life awaits

your redesigned jewellery, as we return it to its rightful owner. If this was an heirloom from a loved one who has passed on, we hope this revived creation would remind you of bonds and memories you once shared together and remind you that whilst our loved ones may leave us, their legacy need not.

1.

Commemorating a loved one

Whilst a loved one may have passed on, their legacy need not. As customers bring with them an old heirloom piece they often associate with their loved one, Carrie K. repurposes the heirloom into a functional, yet dignifiedly aesthetic jewellery them reminds us of the inseparable bonds they shared with their loved ones.

2.

A desire to wear it with pride

Some of our customers have longed to wear an old but treasured jewellery gifted from their parents or in-laws so as to reciprocate their love. Yet they are unable to do so, either because the size is mismatched or the piece does not fit their style. With respect and the blessings from their loved ones, Carrie K. refurbishes the jewellery into a contemporary setting so that they can profess their gratitude and respect to their loved one as they proudly wear the piece.

3.

Adding to a heritage narrative

Once in a while our customers bring a family heirloom that has weathered through generations, and with it honourable signs of having been worn for several decades. Through an Heirloom Revival, we restore or reset the jewellery back to its original glory. Customers also add their own heritage narrative to the jewellery - likening it to drawing their own branch to a family tree.

WALK WITH ME ETERNITY BRACELET

Ananthi entrusted us to reset her father's diamonds to commemorate him. We designed an eternity bracelet, pairing the father's diamonds side by side with her own. The gemstones hidden on the inside of the clasp feature hers and the loves of her life, strategically placed so they are always close to her lifeline.

Fireworks Ring

Lyn had wanted to commemorate her mother, whom she describes as the life of every party. With a classic jade pendant passed down from her mother, we reset the jade onto a ring, adding on Lyn's favourite amethyst gems to form a spectacular fireworks motif -- a befitting metaphor and tribute to her mother with a larger-than-life exuberance.

Boulders Ring

Rebecca approached us to redesign her wedding and engagement ring on her tenth anniversary. Inspired by her years with her husband in Colorado and their engagement in the Arizonian canyons, we came up with a boulder design incorporating white and yellow gold, as well as the gemstones from her original ring to reflect the terrains of the canyons.
