Meet Drea.
She went from model, to content creator, and now - Creative Director of Good Addition – where you can find elevated basics with Drea’s very own twist. A peek into her wardrobe, if you will.
1. On Beginnings
Before Good Addition, your style already carried a very distinct point of view. Do you think fashion helped you discover who you were, or become who you wanted to be?
I started out my career as a model, and back then I was always styled by other people, so I never really had the opportunity to express my own personal style.
It was only when I started blogging and sharing my outfits on Instagram that people began noticing my aesthetic. That became a platform for me to express myself creatively, and it's also how I slowly built my following. Looking back, fashion became a way for me to express who I already was, rather than trying to become someone else.
2. On Meaning
What were you hoping to create that perhaps didn't exist for you before?
With Good Addition, my role today is mostly behind the scenes. I spend most of my time developing concepts, designing collections and working through sampling, rather than being in front of the camera.

I wanted to create a brand that reflected my personal aesthetic. There are plenty of places to buy wardrobe basics in Singapore, but I couldn't really find one that spoke to my style – elevated essentials, beautiful denim and colours that felt timeless yet interesting. Diversity has also always been important to me. If you visit our website, you'll notice we intentionally cast women from different backgrounds and ages because I want every woman to feel represented in the brand.
What's one piece from Good Addition that truly represents your philosophy
It has to be our Signature Shirt!

It's still our bestseller today, and we've probably created over 70 variations of it across different colours and fabrics. To me, it perfectly represents the modern woman – someone who wants to look polished and put together, while still feeling effortless.
It's also a piece that so many mothers gravitate towards because it's incredibly practical for breastfeeding, while remaining stylish enough to wear beyond that stage of life. I really love how this one piece can resonate with so many different women.
3. On Courage
Was there a moment you questioned whether you could hold all these identities together?
Surprisingly, no actually. I think I'm someone who naturally compartmentalises well. Whenever challenges come up, I focus on solving one thing at a time instead of becoming overwhelmed by everything at once.
That said, I've also learnt how important it is to rely on your village. You don't have to do everything yourself, and I've learnt to accept help whenever it's offered.
For someone waiting to feel 'ready' before starting, what would you say?
Just do it!
If you keep waiting for everything to be perfect, you'll probably never begin. Your first version is never going to be your best version anyway. The process itself teaches you what works, what doesn't, and what you can improve. You'll only discover those lessons once you've started.

4. On the Turning Point
Was there a season that forced you to redefine success or ambition?
Having my first son really made me question whether I wanted to continue creating content. I wanted to spend more time with him, and content creation no longer felt like the creative outlet it once was.

Good Addition actually came about after I had my second child, and in many ways it gave me a renewed sense of purpose. It reminded me that creativity can evolve alongside different seasons of life, and that it's okay for your ambitions to change too.
5. On Impact and Responsibility
How has becoming a mother shaped the way you use your influence today?
Motherhood naturally changed the way I think about design. I find myself constantly thinking about what modern mothers are actually looking for, pieces that are comfortable, easy to wear and flattering, without compromising on style. Things like more relaxed silhouettes around the waist, less emphasis on revealing cuts, and designs that make women feel confident, sophisticated and comfortable in their everyday lives.
How has motherhood changed how you run your business today?
Motherhood has made me a much better leader.
It's made me more empathetic because I've realised everyone is carrying something behind the scenes that you may not always see. I try to lead with understanding first, and create an environment where people feel supported both professionally and personally.
I've also learnt to trust my team more. Becoming a mother showed me very quickly that I simply couldn't do everything myself. Delegating and empowering others has actually made the business stronger, and allowed everyone to take greater ownership of their work.

Finally, motherhood has shifted my definition of success. I still care deeply about building Good Addition, but success now also means creating a business that supports a meaningful life, not just for myself, but for my team as well. I too want to build a company where people can pursue ambitious careers while still making space for family and the things that matter most.
6. On your Carrie K. Wearable Wish
Which Carrie K. piece is your favourite?

Definitely my bespoke wedding ring. It's something I wear every single day, so naturally it holds the most meaning.
What drew you to this design — and how does it reflect the woman you are today, or perhaps the woman you are still becoming?
I love that it was designed to sit seamlessly with my engagement ring, but of course it's equally beautiful worn on its own. I think it’s also in line with versatility and practicality – something I always look for, whether it's jewellery or clothing.
If your Carrie K. piece could hold one quiet reminder to yourself — especially in seasons of growth, pressure, or self-doubt — what would you want it to say?
When life gets busy or overwhelming, it's a quiet reminder of what truly matters. It brings me back to the people I do all of this for, and reminds me to appreciate the journey, not just the milestones.
7. A Wish to Carry Forward
If you could leave one piece of advice for your boys, what would it be?
I would tell them to always stay adaptable and resilient.
The world is changing so quickly, and I think these two qualities will help them navigate whatever comes their way. More than any achievement, I hope they grow up to be kind, and grounded people who can embrace change with confidence.
